Goods for Good Luzi Tote

Khirma New York

This year, I’m so proud and excited to work with a charity that I care about very deeply called goods for good, a nonprofit organization founded by my dear friend Melissa Kushner that supports the education of more than 75,000 orphans in Malawi, Africa. I designed a limited-edition "Luzi Tote" to benefit the goods for good "Tailor Training program" for the small village of Luzi. Each tote sold funds twenty uniforms for school children and ensures tailors in the village have an opportunity to turn their skills into income. My trip to Malawi left a permanent imprint on me. Seeing firsthand this community come together, work together, laugh together and progress together, was incredibly inspiring. In early 2013, I had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Malawi and meet with some of the children that goods for good are helping. The difference that this organization makes in their lives by providing education and assisting them to gain skills to earn a living, is truly inspirational and remarkable.
